Grand Old Partisan honors Kay Orr, born January 2nd 1939. She moved from Iowa to Nebraska, age twenty-four. Effective volunteering with YRs and the state GOP led to her being named an 'Outstanding Young Republican Woman'.
Having managed his campaign, Orr was named a Governor's chief of staff. In 1981, that Governor appointed her to a vacancy as state treasurer, to which she was elected the following year.
